Use Candles to Decorate Every Room

Home decor is a great way to use candles. When the lights are turned off, candles create light. If you choose the right ones, they will smell like heaven. They also promote romance and a relaxed ethos. Candles will create a more inviting environment for your guests, no matter where they are placed. You can cluster them, place them at different heights, use different scents and use unscented candle holders. But let’s not forget about the fun ways you can decorate your home with candles!

The Kitchen

To create a romantic dinner party, scatter flowers around the room.

The Bathroom

Place them in a corner to keep your bathroom looking fresh. Bright colors can add style to a monochromatic bath, or you can match them to the walls. You can also relax in the tub with the candlelit near, and it will keep the bathroom cozy.

The Bedroom

Candles are the perfect romantic (and sometimes sexy!) touch for bedrooms. To create a warm glow at night, place them on a side table, windowsill, or beautiful chandeliers. These sconces add a touch of old-age charm and whimsy to modern and contemporary rooms.

The Living Room

Candles create warmth and are great for family gatherings. You can either keep them in holders or leave them plain and natural depending on the style of your space. Sometimes, a simple candlelit fire pit can work wonders in design.

DIY candles

It’s a great way to spend an hour making candles. These DIY candles can be used to make gifts or for your enjoyment. These candles are made from natural soy wax and colored with non-toxic crayons. There are many color options. To make them scented candles, you can add essential oils.

Step 1- Materials

Wicks

Pre-made wicks can make your life easier over the long term.

Non-Toxic Crayons

Non-toxic crayons are a great choice for coloring because they come in a variety of colors that can easily be mixed and matched. You can melt them directly into wax, without needing to dilute it.

Assorted Scents

To give your candle a pleasant scent, you can add essential oil. Aussie Candle Supplies offers essential oils and many more items that are required for candle making. This company sources traditional oils from all over the globe and is very cool. You can only make a handful of candles

Step 2: Install the Wicks

You will need to prepare all the jars in advance. This is important because you don’t want to waste time when working with wax.

Place the wicks in the middle of the jars with clothespins. Then, set them aside.

Step 3: Color

You can choose the color crayons that you like and then cut off small pieces to use as coloring.

You only need a little to make a big difference. However, reds, purples, and oranges require less coloring than blues greens yellows.

Step 4: Melt the wax

The wax will melt too quickly in the pot, ruining it and making a huge mess.

A double boiler can be made by filling the pot with water about 1/3 of the way and hooking the handle on the cup to the side. The cup should stay afloat, and the water should be approximately an inch below the sides of the pan.

Remove any water if it appears that the water will boil over the edges of the pan or get into the cup with wax.

Place the thermometer in the cup and let it heat up to 170°. Add some wax until it is half full.

To aid in melting, stir the wax.

Keep adding wax until you have about 2 cups of melted wax.

Let the wax cool until the thermometer registers 170 degrees

Step 5: Add color

Once your wax has reached room temperature, add the crayon coloring bricks to the mixture and stir until the bricks are fully melted.

Remember that color changes as it cools. It is possible to make the color more vivid than you think it should, as it will become less vibrant after it cools. Don’t be alarmed if the color changes a bit. As the wax cools, it will return to its original color.

It takes some time to master the coloring process.

Step 6: Scented Candles

You can add about 10 drops of essential oil to your mixture to make scented candles.

This will take some trial and error, but it is worth it. Oils are different in strength and oil requirements.

Keep in mind, however, that too much oil can cause the wax to not set properly. Don’t go overboard.

Step 7: Pour

Place the wax in the jars.

After filling the jar with water, wicks may have moved out of the center. Reposition them gently.

Step 10: Enjoy

Enjoy your new candles.
